An Analytica model can potentially display thousands of Diagram, Object, and Result windows.

You could theoretically open hundreds of Diagram, Object, and Result windows in a model. To avoid cluttering your screen, Analytica limits the number of windows that can be open at once. The default limit is 4 windows of any type. (Dialogs do not count as windows.)  If you open a new window when you already have 4 open, it automatically closes the window that has been inactive the longest.
To prevent your screen from becoming cluttered, Analytica limits the number of windows of each

type that can be open at once. The default limits are:

* The top-level Diagram window and not more than one Diagram window for each lower level in the hierarchy

* One Object window

* Two Result windows

The oldest window of the same type is deleted whenever you display a new window that would

otherwise exceed these limits.

Overriding the limits on the number of windows: To display more windows of the same type, override the default limits in one of the following ways:

* Open a second Object window, or open a Diagram window without closing an existing Diagram window at the same level, by pressing the Control key while you click or doubleclick to open the new window.

* Use the Preferences dialog to change the Max open windows limit. Select Preferences from the Edit menu.

You can change this limit in the Preferences dialog, which you can open from the from the Edit menu . Select a different number from the Max open windows menu:

This is a Personal Preference meaning that it is saved on your computer and will apply to all models you open. It is not saved with the model.
