When you position your mouse over a node and wait for a half a second, hover icons appear around the node. These icons are shortcuts to common operations and can often save you an extra mouse click, having to move the mouse to the toolbar, or from a double-click (which takes a certain amount of finger coordination). Icons that are not available from the current context don't appear.
Tip
The number of hover icon shortcuts is kept intentionally small. A longer list of shortcuts to common operations appears in a context menu when you right-click on a node.TBD: Images and descriptions of the hover icons.
