The AnalyticaPlatform system variable is a constant that tells you which operating system platform Analytica is running on. It has one of the following values:

Value When
"Windows x64" 64-bit Windows. This is what desktop Analytica, ADE and the Windows edition of Analytica Cloud Platform (ACP) report, including when Windows itself is running in a virtual machine on a Mac (Parallels, VMware, Virtual PC), because the operating system Analytica sees really is Windows.
"Linux x64" An Analytica Cloud Platform session running on Linux, where the Analytica engine runs under Wine. New in Analytica 7.2.
"macOS x64" The Windows engine running on a Mac under a Wine-based compatibility layer such as CrossOver. New in Analytica 7.2.
"Windows" A 32-bit Windows build of Analytica (releases that still had one).
"Mac" Returned by older Macintosh releases (e.g., Analytica release 1.1).

Use AnalyticaPlatform to select a platform-specific pathway in a model, for example to skip a step that needs Excel, which is available only on Windows:
