This page provides instructions for how to obtain and install your free upgrade to Analytica 4.2 or ADE 4.2.

Analytica 4.2
Released 21 Sep 2009

Eligibility

Analytica (or ADE) users with active support are entitled for free upgrades to new minor-version releases, such as from 4.1 to 4.1. If you have kept your active support up-to-date and have a 4.x license, you can upgrade to the 4.2 release of the same edition you currently have at no cost.

If you have purchased Analytica within the previous 12 months, your support is active since new purchases include 12 months of active support. If more than 12 months have elapsed, you must renew your support annually.

Analytica 4.2 can only be purchased at full price by those without active support. Discount pricing for an upgrade to 4.2 from 3.x editions is only available to those whose active support is still current.

If you have allowed your active support to lapse, you will need to retroactively renew it for the period of time since it expired through the present date to re-instate it. You can do this from this page: Renew Active Support.

Instructions

To get your free upgrade, simply Start Here.

After trading-in your current 4.0 or 4.1 license, and proceeding through the checkout, an activation key and download/install instructions will be emailed to you. The purchase total will automatically register as $0. After you receive your activation key, you'll follow the instructions -- downloading the installer, running it, and activating your license by entering your activation key.

If you are interested in non-free edition upgrades -- for example to a floating license or an 64-bit edition -- the best time to do it is while you are at the Shopping Cart page. Trade-in your 4.0 or 4.1 license(s) as above, then populate the cart with the edition(s) you want. Remember to remove the free upgrade edition so that you receive a trade-in credit towards the price of your new editions. Note the special promotion on 64-bit editions -- there is a $500 discount on upgrades to 64-bit editions before Nov 6th, 2009.
