Cell formatting functions, also called ''cell format predicates'', are used to specify the cell formats for cells in a table, such as fill colors, cell border style, text alignment, font properties, number formats, etc. These are used in the [[Cell Format Expression]] attribute when you define your own [[Computed cell formats]]. See [[Computed cell formats]] for an overview.

More commonly, if you wish to set cell formats in a table, just use the [[Cell format dialog]]. [[Computed cell formats]] are used when you want the formats to respond fluidly to the actual data or to other aspects in your model.
