== Why can't I change / edit this? ==

You are probably in browse mode and need to change to edit mode.

The arrow button on the [[Toolbar]] (or keyboard shortcut F9) changes to edit mode.  Conversely, the hand with a pointer finger button (or keyboard shortcut F8) changes to browse mode.

If you are in a [[Obfuscated and Browse-Only Models|browse-only module or model]], or are using the model in [[ACP]], or are using the [[Free Edition]] with a model containing more than 101 objects, or are using a Player edition, then you are not allowed to make changes to the model, and hence, cannot enter edit mode.

== Why is the arrow from my index not displaying? ==

By default, dependency arrows to or from index nodes are not shown. This is done because indexes often end up with a huge number of dependents, causing diagrams to look like spaghetti; thus, as models get larger, it is usually more desirable to hide these arrows. 

However, you can show arrows to and from indexes on a diagram-by-diagram basis using the '''Show arrows to/from: Indexes''' checkbox in the [[Diagram Style dialog]] dialog (select '''Set Diagram Styles...''' on the [[Diagram menu]]).

The same is true for arrows to and from Function nodes. You can turn on arrows to and from functions with the '''Show arrows to/from: Functions''' checkbox on that same dialog.
